The University Library is currently seeking an Assistant Librarian to join its Information Services Section. Reporting to the Head of Information Services Section, a key responsibility of this professional position will be to serve as the liaison librarian for the School of Business. He/She will also provide high quality instructional, research, and reference services in a variety of different modes. Special projects and a wide variety of public service duties will be integral to the role. Shift duties during evenings/weekends/public holidays are required.

 Applicants should have a recognised professional qualification in librarianship (MLS or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate current knowledge of academic library resources, systems, services, and trends. A background or experience in business, economics, finance, or human resource management will be advantageous. He/She must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders within and outside of the Library. Excellent communication skills in English are required; additionally, proficiency in Chinese is highly desirable. Academic library experience, advanced technology skills, and/or instructional expertise will be beneficial. A genuine enjoyment of teaching and supporting students and researchers is essential.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
