Job Duties

  • Implement APAS R&D Centre technology roadmap in Smart Mobility initiative and related products, focus especially in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) technologies
  • Carry out R&D projects from conception to implementation based on customer, market, industry and technology demands
  • Conduct R&D works related to Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication
  • Perform hands-on program works such as android program or embedded Linux program, cloud services program, big-data processing etc.
  • Occasional travels to Mainland of China required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or related disciplines from a local university
  • Development experience with command of at least one modern programming language and expertise working with mainstream scripting languages (e.g. Java, C++, ASP.Net, C#, .NET, Python, Objective C, Swift, etc.)
  • Knowledge in one or more of following areas preferred:
    • Cloud services program experience (such as AWS or Azure)
    • Knowledge in Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication is a plus, such as 3GPP, Lora or DSRC, etc.
    • Android or iOS application development
    • Sensor network or IOT systems
  • Have a passion for automotive and connected vehicles
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willing to learn and good interpersonal and team spirit
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua is a plus

Note:

This is a position funded by the Internship Programme of the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) R&D project from December 2018 to June 2020.
