Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of Engineers.
• Manage a number of different engineering projects throughout its whole life cycle.
• Ensuring projects are complete on time, to budget and meets customer specifications.
• Report monthly against development targets.
• Setting department project plans and monitoring them to on time completion.
• Providing full technical support to customers and suppliers where required.
• Undertake ad hoc research projects for future development.
• Train and motivate the engineering team.
• Provide suggestions for ongoing improvement to all the companies’ products.
• Ensure all projects are supported by adequate documentation.
• Liaise with UK design teams on product development.

Requirements:

• High energy and talented leader with a positive can do attitude.
• A creative thinker and problem solver.
• Able to communicate effectively with, and synchronise a multi-disciplinary team of Embedded/Software Developers, Electronic Design, Test, and Mechanical engineers.
• Proven project planning experience.
• Strong technical background in Embedded Programming (C++/ C#), Software Development or Electronic Instrumentation design is an advantage, but not essential.
• Strong leadership with a proactive, flexible and results oriented personality.
• Analytical problem solver, detail-minded and able to work on own initiative.
• Reliable and responsible with a mature attitude to work and career.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
