Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Understand and further develop seasonal creative product direction and translate to product ideas
- Independent designing of men’s apparel based on creative direction.
- Conduct trend & color research, ensure style, fit, quality, detail requirements are right for our market
- Work under the seasonal calendar milestones and product timelines, to deliver accurate design sketch & design teach-pack
- Support the creation of trims development
- Actively participate in fabric selection during the mill week and national fairs and exhibitions, prepare fabric plan working closely with the team
- Development of commercially viable graphic design in the collection
- Actively participate in fitting sessions with technical team
- Support on design document & review process e.g. Sketch overview , proto review & sales meeting design materials
- Ensure that sourcing team are kept informed about development progress.
- Follow up on changes made during the review process during design development stage.
- Develop close partnership with Merchandising and Development team to deliver meaningful product and executions to serve AP distribution and to achieve required product costs
- Be an engaged and committed team-mate, be a facilitator in negotiations
- Be the front of marketplace reality and competition to ensure the relevant trends and innovations are filtered into the collection
Requirements:
- University degree in Fashion or textile
- 4 years or above working experience in men’s casual wear design across different categories
- Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, presentation skills and good fashion sense & knowledge of seasonal trends, themes, color, materials, styling and fit.
- Ability to collaborates with design, sales and other departments to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
- Extensive knowledge in fitting and the development size specifications for Asia Pacific market
- Experienced in the creation of complete product development technical packages
- Excellent application of design skills including graphic design
- Self-motivated, responsible, collaborative and creative
- Familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator & Office
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese & English
- Experience in Jeanswear is a plus
