Key Responsibilities

• Select and develop suppliers, assess supplier capabilities, manage supplier performance, negotiate price, delivery and terms
• Maintain knowledge and trends of components in the area of responsibility as assigned
• Monitor supply market and economic conditions and develop plans to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks
• Initiate and execute plans to reduce cost and inventory throughout supply chain
• Work with other Sourcing Category Managers to develop and execute category plans
• Manage to project/component timeline while providing best cost, quality, and supply for assigned products
• Participate in new product development teams and other internal organizations to understand the end use of commodities for new products
• Ensure Meeting cost targets for new products by negotiating alternatives with internal and external entities
• Ensure timely material availability for new products to meet published schedules and seamless transition to mass production
• Maintain excellent communication on project performance and goals attainment.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of Strategic (commodity) Sourcing & Procurement experience
• Bachelor degree required, Master desired. Engineering or Business degree
• Strong facilitation, teamwork, project management and communication skills
• Above average experience in Excel
• Experienced in creation, negotiation, and administration of contracts
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to drive aggressive implementation plans and schedules
• Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
• Responsive and highly motivated
• Excellent interpersonal skills
