Job Description

The role is to plan, conduct, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, maintenance and implementation of corporate information systems, software applications and system infrastructure. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications, together with external contractors as required. He/She will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills as well as sound knowledge of best practices on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information systems and platform.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist to manage the whole IT system and give info-security advice on projects and systems and participate in info-security monitoring and testing
• Manage the complete development lifecycle of software systems; including gathering requirements, database management, software development, testing, implementation, user follow up, support and projects. 
• Handle full spectrum of IT support work independently for the company; provide sensible recommendations and solutions for the management for consideration and decision
• Provide IT technical support and system maintenance to end-users 
• Co-ordinate and meet with internal and external parties including external IT vendors for the Company's IT projects
• Perform system set-up, trouble-shooting, monitoring and administration of servers, networks, telephone and internet service
• Evaluate the different IT systems/solutions to determine the best setup for the Company
• Work together with different departments to implement new or upgrade exiting IT systems, such as Document Management System, Viewpoint and CRM
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned

 

REQUIRMENTS

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, information technology or related disciplines
• Min. 5 years relevant IT Projects and IT application development and support working experience or relevant experience in professional firm is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of IT systems, programming and MS applications
• Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. 
• Experience in core software applications, such as Oracle JDE/Fusion, Apache Cordova, Microsoft office andapplication development tools including Xamarin and Azure
• Experience in programming languages, including MS SQL, C#.Net, ASP.Net, MVC,  JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and other Web Technologies, 
• Knowledge of database design and file management techniques. 
• Knowledge of network and operating systems including iSeries, Window Server and desktop OS. 
• Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards. 
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Lean, Iterative, Prototyping etc., 
• Experience in IT policy or ERP implementation will be highly preferred
• High integrity, pro-active, independent and self-driven, detail-oriented, well organized in multi-tasked environment and strong sense of responsibilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skill; good Chinese and English language (both written and verbal) and good at Putonghua
• Able to drive the assigned projects to achieve the targets and work independently with minimal supervision; good judgment and highly effective and efficient person
