Job description

• Manage and maintain Oracle database, Oracle RAC and MS SQL.
• Handle database installation, version and patch update.
• Maintain and daily operation for database parameter.
• Handle database event, changes and troubleshooting.
• Define database backup strategy, backup and validation.
• Monitoring database status.
• Optimize database performance.
• Enhance database security and audit.
• Implement database high-availability and swap test (if needed).
• Provide and update database related technical manual.

Requirement

• 6 years' or above solid experience on Database (Oracle 10g/11g RAC, MS SQL Server) Administration and support services.
• 2 years’ or above experience on team management and Oracle database production.
• Familiar with Unix/Linux and Windows Server operation.
• Proficient in Oracle/MS SQL database deploy, manage and maintenance.
• Experience with Oracle RAC deploy and maintenance, optimize Oracle and MS SQL database.
• Experience with database shell script/programming.
• Experience with database backup strategy and software, eg: NBU, DataProtector, Tivoli.
• Ability to define database monitoring strategy and handle related software.
• Ability to provide database maintenance SOP.
• Holders of OCP, Unix/Linux admin cert.
• Holders of MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, CCNP or ITIL are preferred.
• Good in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution.
