Monthly Salary Range:

HK$19,970 – HK$35,345 (for the grade of Assistant Computer Officer II)

HK$14,650 – HK$18,850 (for the grade of Computer Technician-in-training)

Duties: The appointee is mainly responsible for daily system hardware and software maintenance and support services for staff/students, performing daily system operations, carrying out daily system security control and monitoring, preparing system and user documentation, conducting user training, and performing other IT related duties as required.

Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in IT related disciplines plus at least one year relevant working experience in IT application development / system administration or Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent plus at least three years relevant working experience in IT application development / system administration. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Computer Technician-in-training.

Working experience in Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows system operation and administration including system backup and recovery, storage management, system security management, system patches management, setting up high availability solution, heterogeneous systems integration, system performance monitoring and tuning, DR drilling etc.;

Sound skills and techniques in system problem diagnosis and troubleshooting;

Good analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and excellence in team playing and work attitude.

Terms of Appointment:Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
