Job Description
Requirements:
- PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Physics/Biophysics with statistical modeling experience or Mathematics with an emphasis in probability. Non-PhD candidates with equivalent experience may also be considered
- Knowledge of R, Python/Perl or C
- Strong knowledge of Bayesian Statistics
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms will be an advantage
- Knowledge of Genetics is desired but not required
- Knowledge of NGS related lab methods is desired but not required
Responsibilities:
- Develop statistical methods for Lab QC and QA purposes
- Review and further develop existing internally developed statistics software to analyze NGS data
- Develop statistical methods and software for disease risk prediction and Quantitative Trait Locus analysis
- Look up literature for epidemiology data as input to the statistical models
