Report to Director, Infrastructure Services, the information security (assistant) manager is the process owner for the development and implementation of an organization-wide information security program and ongoing activities to preserve the availability, integrity and confidentiality of AEGON Asia information resources in compliance with applicable security policies, standards and regulatory requirement. This position consults and partners with internal technical resources and other AEGON Information Security personnel to enforce and verify compliance of information security standards.

Responsibilities 

• Leads development, documentation and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and standards across Asia Region
• Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness throughout organization
• Responsible to internal vulnerability management, Security metrics, DLP, pen-test coordination and reporting
• Assists with development and implementation of compliance verification and audit preparedness activities
• Provides project support for assigned security function
• Monitors and Controls internal and external IT service providers’ DRP solutions
• Oversees country units’ DRP solutions and execution in Asia Pacific region
• Monitor changes that may affect information security, and make recommendations on the need for policy changes
• Assists other Aegon business units in in information security development and serve as the primary point of contact for regional security issues. Performs onsite control testing to determine compliance with local and Aegon global security standards
• Independently performs risk assessments and works closely with the auditor/regulator and other 3rd party auditors to take action in order to prevent, mitigate, and swiftly respond to any audit findings that require action
• Assists and performs information security related entitlement reviews
• Participates in Aegon global information security working groups
• Performs other information security related duties as assigned

Qualifications Required 

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Institution IT field
• With over 5 years in technology risk and information security experience

Skills: 

• A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and independent
• Proficiency in spoken /written English and spoken Cantonese, with Mandarin is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Out-going and Open-minded

Competencies: 

• CISSP/ CCSP/CISM certification is preferred
• Familiar with up-to-date IT related regulatory requirements (i.e. HKIA, MAS and ISO27001/27002 etc.)
