The Data Centre Operator is required to provide technical expertise so as to maintain the smooth running of the Data Centre.

Job Summary:

• Assist with day-to-day operations within the Data Centre environment
• Ensure technical areas are in full working order at all times (including: cabinets, phones, data cabling) and free from obstruction
• Works from established practices and documented procedures, prepare reports from the various back office systems, make uses the appropriate categories for logging incidents and requests
• Resolve alarm conditions, record the resolution, and escalate to Operations Specialist or support for resolution as needed

Preferred Skills/Education:

• Diploma or Certificate or above in Information Technology or equivalent qualifications with at least 2 years working experience in data center environment
• Understanding of the alarm layout of a technology center
• Experience in tape changes, system monitoring, environment monitoring, remote console functionality and remote hands work will be an advantage
• Strong willingness to develop long-term career path in the company
• Willing to perform 7x24 shift duty
• Good telephone manner and communication skills in Chinese; willingness to communicate in business English
• HK permanent resident is required
• Candidate with less experience will be also considered
