Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fast-track Employee Compensation claims function to ensure operational efficiency, efficient claims settlement and equitable solution to Employee Compensation claims dispute in accordance with the Company’s claims philosophy.
  • Support the implementation of claims management strategies and objectives for the business.
  • Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve claims systems and procedures.
  • Accountability for all new claims triage processes and claim streaming to ensure claims are handled by the right person in a timely manner.
  • Approve substantial claims within appropriate authority levels.
  • Quickly respond to and resolve complaints within the agreed service standards. Take immediate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure recoverable amounts are assessed and effectively followed up.
  • Ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise, coaching and leadership.
  • Supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the team.
  • Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviours and through the use of management best practice, to enable development of staff to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Attract, develop and retain high quality workforce with the knowledge, skill and will to deliver excellent claim outcomes and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general public.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in insurance or related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experiences with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry, claims processes and service requirements.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of Employee Compensation claims.
  • Customer centric minded with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
