The Role:

Globally Managed Carrier Accounts:

  • Working in partnership with global account leader, using the Aon Client Service Model to deliver Business Excellence in the region for the assigned carrier and strategically valuable initiatives with quantified value
  • Understanding (and ensuring Aon Inpoint carrier team understand and respond to) insurance market dynamics in assigned region(s) – e.g. how does business switch, how do carriers succeed…
  • Understanding and leveraging Aon broking strategy in the region for assigned carriers; ensuring Aon Inpoint carrier team understand same
  • Transferring knowledge and insights on insurance market dynamics and Aon broking strategy to the Aon Inpoint carrier team
  • Working within the global account leader’s account plan, facilitating Aon Inpoint team building and maintaining networks with influential carrier and Aon broking stakeholders in the region and securing influence
  • Providing regular structured feedback to the global account leader on progress against the scorecard, client satisfaction and actions in region

Regionally Managed Carrier Accounts

  • Leading account planning, sales and delivery of services
  • Generating strategic and operational insight into carrier’s business and organisational strategy and identifying a wide range of potential value opportunities (within Aon book and beyond)
  • Primary Aon Inpoint liaison with key carrier and Aon stakeholders
  • Commercial leadership of Aon Inpoint teams to meet revenue and margin targets and position us for growth
  • Coordinating Aon leadership relationships with carrier (all Aon business units)
  • Understanding (and deploying where required) wider Aon capabilities

Regional Business Development

  • Lead efforts to identify and secure new sources of revenue for Aon Inpoint in line with agreed go-to-market plans and annual sales targets
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director Asia, and broader team members in the strategic approach to sales
  • Implement standard processes and manage deliverables to support sales efforts
  • Ensure accurate and timely management reporting of sales activities and results
  • Generate leads, foster relationships, and close deals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to bring the best of Aon to new carriers and clients
  • Manage formal tender processes, develop proposals, presentations and lead negotiation processes
  • Deliver presentations at internal and external events and support cross-company initiatives and projects

 

Our Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university
  • Significant experience delivering complex financial or advisory services
  • Business development experience in professional services firms
  • Proven experience working within a complex global matrix organisation and working closely with complex global matrix client organisations
  • Significant experience in the region operating at senior management level including client ‘C-level’
  • Breadth of insurance carrier network and relationships across Hong Kong, China and Taiwan (and broader North Asia as appropriate)
  • Fluent in required local languages to do business with carrier and Aon executives
