Job Description

Objectives of the Role

  • To ensure effective implementation of agreed business objectives and goals for channel-specific customers.
  • To achieve targeted brand development, and financial objectives as mutually agreed with the CEO of the Company
  • Key to success is strong negotiation skills and network to communicate with all levels of clients. 

 

Key Decision Making in this Role:

  • Drive an aggressive growth for beverage products
  • Develop the distribution in specific regions, modern trade and channel for core and focus brands
  • Recommend, implement and monitor distribution programs & promotion plans for the channel specific customers
  • Ensure the core and focus brand targets are delivered
  • Sourcing of the right products to maximize profitability
  • Liaise with all commercial departments to optimise synergy opportunity
  • Take lead of Merchandising Team 

 

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Sales Operations

  • Develop and implement sales and distribution strategies within agreed budgets to achieve annual sales target.
  • Enhance product presence at outlet level particular in all retail chains and selected premium outlets in specific regions
  • Ensure the sales plan meets specific need of key customers
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of sales plan
  • Identify ATL & BTL programs to drive sales within agreed budgets
  • Manage and control discount/rebate budgets
  • Regularly feedback to marketing team on the effectiveness of promotions as well as competitor's activities 

Financial and Marketing Management

  • Participate with marketing in identifying promotional activities
  • Develop and monitor business plans, together with marketing team, to achieve target objectives and the business strategies
  • Assist to ensure the development of price ladders, new product opportunities, brand advertising and promotions in line with Company guidelines
  • Work closely with the Department G.M. to come out with promotion plans for channel customers and consumers
  • Initiate road shows or in-store displays as a marketing support for the achievement of the target  

Business Development

  • Target to improve to full distribution of the Core and Focus brands as agreed with the General Manager
  • Develop the listing opportunity in retail chains and modern trade
  • Ensure the execution of promotions and their effectiveness are smoothly delivered
  • Utilise market data analysis (own, competitive and industry) and identify key business, consumer and trade trends as they emerge
  • Identify & develop new business to drive growth
  • Manage projects for new launch of products and ensure successful execution of the brand plans
  • Furnish the product portfolio from sourcing based on market trend and company development.
  • Liaise with other department head to maximize the synergy for the benefits of Company

Customer Relationship Manager

  • Establish a solid network with the top level of clients
  • Strengthen relationship with key strategic accounts
  • Participate in sales presentations and business review with key accounts
  • Regularly provide staff training as to improve selling skills particular the key to conclude the deals 
  • Develop loyalty to the brands and organisation through customer management

 

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

Qualification and Experience

  • University Graduated in Marketing / Hospitality is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years in sales or trade marketing experiences in the related industry
  • A solid management experience for 5 or above years
  • Familiar with the financial and trading terms in chain stores
  • In depth knowledge of beverage products and the related industry is an advantage
