Job Description

Our Client is a well-known global sportswear brand and now looking for a Regional Product Development Process Specialist (Apparel) into their team. 

As a Regional Product Development Process Specialist (Apparel), you are responsible for managing internal operations of the apparel business, including the apparel product development calendar and process, work with cross-functional teams across regions to manage successful execution of the Apparel Go To Market (GTM) process:

  • Manage the creation, communication and ongoing maintenance/updates for the Apparel regional GTM Calendar; publish to internal and external stakeholders prior to season start and provide continuous visibility to critical Milestones and deadlines throughout the GTM process
  • Create and send Calendar reminders for all Milestone Meetings and Key Activities/Deadlines including expectations and action items to cross-functional participants
  • Proactively identify obstacles to hitting Calendar deadlines including seasonal overlap and workload by function, holiday constraints (e.g., Chinese New Year) and Sales timelines
  • Understand the Calendar impact when due dates are not met; advise functional teams when Calendar due dates need to shift and the consequences that result
  • Follow through any issues/callouts (regarding Calendar, processes, etc.) to resolution; escalate issues to leadership for approval of any major Calendar shifts when necessary
  • Lead initiatives to spearhead continuous improvement of GTM process and Calendar including ongoing solicitation of feedback and change management for process changes
  • Ability to manage multi calendars and various projects
  • Generate metrics and reports, coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather data and run metrics and reports assign by the team lead
  • Own and manage monthly governance meetings with the leader of the cross-functional teams to present updates on GTM process execution, metrics, and reporting; publish seasonal recaps on GTM process effectiveness and Calendar adherence
  • Responsible for Apparel regional GTM “special projects” including initiatives to support the Apparel regional GTM process, leader of the cross-functional teams and future-looking opportunities; manage project plans and execute all relevant project activities (e.g. research, pilots, development of tools/templates)
  • Collaborate with Apparel Global GTM process and corporate Calendar to identify opportunities to align business operations and GTM processes


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in apparel operations and/or project management or calendar management
  • Thorough knowledge of the Product Development process
  • Strong discipline to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; proven project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both written/oral
  • Team player with strong collaboration mindset and ability to work within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to drive decisions across the organization
  • Excellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office with proven skills and experience with Excel (pivot, Vlookup), PowerPoint, Project
  • Ability to travel globally as required
