Position Summary:

Responsible for managing all Sierra Wireless logistics in APAC, which includes managing revenue and non-revenue shipments, import/export compliance, working closely with EMS, with 3PL warehouses and with freight forwarders in the region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work independently, with minimal supervision with internal Sierra Wireless functions on various logistics activities
• Coordinate logistic team actions to identify operational gaps and develop efficient solutions. Provided analytical solutions to complex logistical problems
• Provide expertise in developing cost-effective procedures for Sierra Wireless shipping lanes
• Interface with internal stakeholders and with suppliers, research customs regulations and rulings, determining regulatory of interpretive basis for classification, marking and valuation decisions and communicate findings to logistics director
• When necessary provide online booking with express carrier, manual AWB, manual invoice with correct HTS codes
• Track shipments and coordinate with customers when discrepancies occur. Maintain an efficient and accurate shipping/receiving record keeping process
• Perform the inventory cycle counts

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in Business, Logistics or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in global logistics (inbound/outbound), comprehensive understanding of Incoterm 2000 and Incoterm 2010
• Extensive experience in dealing with 3PL warehouse
• Thorough knowledge of and experience with shipping using express carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT) or other freight forwarders
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills – team working in an international environment
• Familiar with ERP (JDEdwards ideally), advanced user of MS Office
• Understanding of US Export Compliance
• Experience dealing with products that contain encryption
