The candidate of Laboratory Manager will manage the Chemical Laboratory so as to achieve the company’s various business objectives including the followings:

• Ensure that the laboratory runs smoothly
• Solve technical problems and construct the set up for new testing
• Implement the HOKLAS quality system
• Manage the facilities and equipment of the laboratory
• Provide training to the sub-ordinates in relation to the use of laboratory equipments and testing methodologies
• Equip with the knowledge of the international testing regulations such as REACH, CPSIA and others

To be qualified for the position, the candidate should possess the followings:

• Degree or above in Applied Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Biochemistry / Environmental Science or related disciplines
• Master Degree in Chemistry or related will be helpful
• Over 10 years working experience in Consumer Testing Industry preferrably with working experience in lagre testing laboratories
• Have at least 2 years experience in managing the laboratory operations including various level of chemists and technicians
• Familiar with the HOKLAS, LIMS and ISO17025 quality management system as well as testing instrumental analysis including GC-MS, ICP, AAS, HPLC-MS or XRF
• Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Able to meet given deadlines through good time management, allocation of priorities and people management
• Hardworking, initiative and able to work under pressure and independently

Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Laboratory Manager or Senior Chemist.
