Job Description
The Law Society seeks applications from enthusiastic, competent and suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Communications and External Affairs Officer.
The appointee will be responsible for supporting the communications and external affairs function of the Law Society. This includes assisting in the organization of publicity and community programmes, and activities outside Hong Kong to promote Hong Kong’s legal services and enhancing the corporate image of the Law Society. The appointee will also assist in drafting executive speeches, coordinating the production of brochure and other promotional materials, as well as support committee works and media relations activities.
Requirements:
- A degree holder with 3 to 5 years of experience in similar capacity;
- Assist in coordinating publicity or public education campaigns as well as committee meetings;
- Experience in event management;
- Travelling may be required;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including proficiency in Putonghua);
- Good computer skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing;
- Knowledge in using Photoshop and other Graphic Design software will be an advantage;
- Independent and a good team player; strong communication skills and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Immediate availability is preferable.
