Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

Assist the Head of Marketing in:

  • Coordinating and managing all events operations, including but are not limiting to venue logistics coordination, rehearsals, artists and performers handling and stage management; VIP and general guests’ routing, crowd control, security plans and briefing and supervising related parties on-site;
  • Sourcing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers; and preparing necessary paperwork to complete the tenders/quotations;
  • Ensuring all required licenses and permits are granted before the events;
  • Conducting risk assessment and contingency plan;
  • Liaising and managing relevant parties such as film companies, production houses, venues, performers and caterers on event related matters;
  • To prepare, draft and upload posts and photos for Society’s various social media platforms on a regular basis and after events on IFF website and other social platforms such as Facebook, Weibo, WeChat, Flickr, Twitter, Wikipedia, Instagram & etc.
  • To maintain a sponsor and market intelligence database; To liaise with Education Bureau, universities, other educational institutions and secondary schools for outreach programme if any; and handle enquires related to outreach programmes;
  • To liaise with design and printing house for preparing all publicity and promotional materials for the audience development and outreach programmes;
  • To co-ordinate and assist in production of promos, trailers, highlight videos, promotional collaterals & etc. for Society’s different events;
  • To provide on-site support in all Society’s events;
  • To coordinate with designers and production houses on promotional materials;
  • To proofread all outgoing promotional materials to ensure the accuracy;
  • To assist in marketing, PR and event activities of the Society;
  • To coordinate with the Society's PR agencies;
  • To coordinate with the Society's various working teams and external parties
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or management from time to time.

 

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent in Marketing/Event Management with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, experience in organizing medium to large scale events;
  • Creativity, strategic thinking and attention to details are perquisites;
  • Good sense in figures with prior experience in cost control is a plus;
  • Knowledge in stage production including AV, lighting and set constructions; and familiar with red carpet arrangement;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint with Photoshop a plus); and
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment;
  • Passionate in film industry and social media is preferred;
  • Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods.

 

The above position is offered on temporary contract terms only.
