Our Client, a Global Sportswear Brand, now looking for a high caliber candidate for the following position: 

Buying Assistant

Summary/ Purpose of the Job:

To support the merchandising team and Manager to build apparel/ footwear business and liaise with regional merchandising teams to identify the local needs and gaps of business opportunity for HK and Macau markets.

Job Responsibilities:

Job duties include but not limited to, the followings:

• Assist in execution of merchandising activities, stock planning & allocation and merchandise delivery
• Work closely with various internal departments to ensure smooth operation of merchandising function, including regional merchandising, marketing, operations, wholesale and retail teams
• Support managers to generate and execute seasonal assortment plans and product flow to the market
• Manage merchandise plans in regular basis and prepare merchandise forecasts and reports
• Assist the team to create presentations for products and present to sales teams and key accounts in trade shows
• Conduct regular research on market competitors and product trends
• Provide samples coordination and other ad-hoc projects as assigned by managers
• Provide administrative support to the team from time to time

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder with around 1-2 years’ merchandising and product planning experience, preferably in apparel/ footwear industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
• Mature, well organized and eager to learn
• Passion in sportswear with good market sense
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Good collaborative skill and enjoy team work environment
• Good spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
• Proficiency in MS Office, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint etc.
