Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA)

The Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA) is a newly established Institute serving as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture. The Institute is seeking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

The appointee will report directly to the Director of IBA. He/She will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director and assisting him in overseeing all administrative matters including project coordination. Duties include coordinating the day-to-day appointments for the Director, organising his daily itinerary, assisting in reviewing documents and project progress, preparing correspondence and materials for meetings and providing secretarial service to meetings, office activities and performing ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, with at least seven years of relevant supervisory experience or in similar capacity. Applicants should also be self-motivated with strong communication and problem solving skills, able to work independently, customer-oriented and a good team player.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
