Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credit control process and procedures to ensure proper workflow is in place;
• Working closely with Legal, Compliance, COO office and Business to provide advice on non-standard credit cases;
• Support business/product developments by providing feedback and information relating to risks of any new businesses;
• Formulate and maintain risk policies/develop product programs to support new business/product launches;
• Review/approve credit applications and transactional/exceptions requests within delegated approval authorities and ensure that they meet the group standards. All potential risks not limited to credit, legal, operational, regulatory and reputational risk are properly addressed and justified;
• Provide credit judgment/comment for obtaining approval from higher approval level if the proposed credit is outside the delegated lending authority;
• Perform credit check, monitor clients' trading activities and identify any irregularities;
• Formulate and implement effective credit control and risk management policies and procedures for credit business;
• Ensure clients' settlement and margin financing trading complying with company's credit policies and related regulatory requirements;
• Provide guidance and training to Frontline on credit policies and procedures and deal with credit related queries from colleagues and clients;
• To implement and monitor effective risk management tools to improve decision making.

Requirements

• Degree holder preferably in Accounting, Finance or Financial Risk Management;
• At least 8 years solid experience in financial or securities/futures brokerage sector with minimum 5 years at managerial level;
• Strong understanding of different financial and derivatives products including margin financing and single stock financing;
• Passionate, well-organised and be a good leader and team player;
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Fluent in English and good command of Mandarin.
