Job Description
Key responsibilities:
-
Assist in daily operational functions for Hong Kong and Malaysian businesses
-
Perform month-end financial reporting functions, which include:
-
preparation of journals upload
-
updating, reconciling and recording financial results
-
analyzing, compiling and reporting of data included data based on a US GAAP and local statutory basis
-
Work with other functional and corporate areas to achieve accuracy, efficiency, and effective accounting practices and procedures
-
Assist with report development and/or updates; address financial and collateral management reporting related questions raised by business unit, area, or function
-
Liaise with external and internal auditors
-
Prepare quarterly and annual statutory filing for Malaysia Branch
-
Assist in the quarterly and annual statutory filing for Hong Kong Branches
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent 3-5 years related work experience in financial reporting / auditing
-
Progress towards relevant professional accreditations or certificates
Skills and abilities
-
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
-
A strong team player with effective communication skills and participate in department/team projects
-
Ability to quickly adapt to new methods and work under tight deadlines
-
Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks and project simultaneously
-
Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines and deliverables
-
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese
-
Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative and demonstrate accountability
