Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Wolverine Trading (HK) Limited is looking for a Finance Manager for overseeing our growing operations in Asia Pacific region. This position is responsible to participate in the financial planning and forecasting process, ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial statements and assist with execution of various strategic plans across the region. The role will report to the VP & Managing Director, Asia Pacific.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Coordinate planning and forecasting processes
- Identify and communicate key assumptions, risk factors, and opportunities reflected in Plans
- Proactively identify potential deviations from Plans/Forecasts, quantify financial impact, and provide recommendations for contingencies on monthly basis
- Prepare revenue bridges and commentary on Forecast vs. prior forecast, plan and prior year
- Analyze and explain P&L & budget variances with effective communication to management
- Prepare Quarterly Business Review write ups and actively participate in these sessions with International and Global Brand leadership teams
- Drive the seasonal pricing and margin process
- Support acquisition and joint venture analysis from proposal phase through benefit realization phase
- Annual P&L development and ongoing evaluation
- Evaluate on-going performance of online and offline planning and eCommerce revenue
- On-going review of China direct business model in terms of key investments, in-season pricing decisions, seasonal open to buy plans, and capital expenditure expense management
- Analysis of current contracts, models and contribution for potential changes with extending dating or changes to payment terms
- Support the development and implementation of the annual three year growth agenda
- Perform other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

7-10 years of public company experience in a local/China finance role for a U.S. based Company

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance

Solid understanding of local/China accounting

Proficient spreadsheet skills, including advanced functions

SAP and Hyperion experience a plus

Good analytical and organizational skills, with an ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a high-tech, fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
