FINANCE OFFICE

The appointee is expected to:

(a) supervise a small team of 2 accounting staff to handle and co-ordinate the full process of finance related matters for students, including issuance and collection of tuition and hall fees, scholarship and bursary payment, students’ loan disbursement/repayment and other related matters;

(b) review and follow up on external and internal enquiries related to students’ payments and receipts;

(c) liaise closely with Office of Students Affairs, Academic Registry and Graduate School to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day finance related matters for students;

(d) work closely withuser departments on accounting, payment requests/reimbursements and budgetary control matters;

(e) assist the Finance Manager in preparing committee papers, and prepare and review relevant reports including management reports and detailed analysis schedules; and

(f) implement system enhancements and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have/be:

(a) a degree in Accounting or equivalent with a minimum of three years of relevant supervisory experience gained from sizeable companies;

(b) good leadership and management skills with proven supervisory experience;  

(c) good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);

(d) demonstration of good analytical skill and PC application skill especially in Excel, with experience in using Oracle financial system is an advantage;

(e) good numerical sense and detail-minded with strong leadership and organisational skills;

(f) ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and

(g) a good, mature and self-motivated team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer application and written test.  Candidates with less experience or/and academic qualification will be considered for the post of Accounting Officer.

The work location is mainly on Tsuen Wan Campus located at Riviera Gardens, Tsuen Wan.  During the peak season of school fee collection (about 2 months each year), the candidate is expected to work on Shaw Campus, Kowloon Tong.

Reference salary range: HK$25,000 - HK$41,000 per month

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
