The Investment Associate will take a key role in the ParticleX investment process. He/She will be primarily leading the due diligence process on tech startups. 

Job Descriptions:

• Deal screening: Meeting with prospects and evaluating opportunities; communicate with shortlisted startup entrepreneurs, learning about their businesses model, technology, team members profile, verifying the market economics, and tendering shortlisted reports to the Investment Committee.
• Due diligence process: Conducting competitive analysis and market studies; perform analysis on financial modelling, business valuation, referral checks; gathering information from industry experts, writing investment memo and coordinate with external advisors with the due diligence process.
• Documentation: Summarizing conference call and meeting notes, drafting terms sheet, facts-finding, filing and monitoring in the deal flow system and online data rooms; preparing presentation of potential deals for the investment committee.
• Market research and trend watching: Working with other team members to conduct trend watching and market research on some focus tech and business segments.
• Events: Participating in some local and overseas startup events as an investor representative.

Requirements:

• Career driven individual with passion for technology, entrepreneurship, investments and high tech start-ups
• Project management ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
• Self-starter ability to pursue projects or plan events with minimal to no supervision
• Critical thinker and problem-solving, must be able to use logical reasoning to reach solutions
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
• 2-3 years of experience in startup environment, and with equity or angel investment experience will be highly appreciated
• Holder of a bachelor degree in business, finance, or related disciplines
