CallisonRTKL seeks a Designer with experience in retail design to join its Retail Stores Practice Group in Hong Kong. As a designer at CallisonRTKL, you will join a highly collaborative and creative team dedicated to excellence in design.  The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed-oriented and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.  

Responsibilities

• Develops space plans for retail stores
• Designs and draws interior plans, fixture plans and elevations
• Works with intermediate and senior level staff to review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality
• Maintains fixture databases and metrics
• Participates in schematic design activities, including making adaptations and modificatins and assisting other designers in specific aspects of overall design
• Researches codes as they relate to planning solutions
• Provides quality support and initiative to further overall business goals and objectives
• Pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs
• Stays up-to-date with design industry trends and incorporates them into daily practice

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related design field
• 4+ years of experience as an interior designer 
• Retail experience preferred 
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including color and materials, furniture systems FF&E, and specifications
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD
• Experience with SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign preferred
• Ability to management multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work in a collaborative fast-faced environment
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly, both verbally and graphically, and give direction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English
• LEED accreditation or equivalent preferred
• Hong Kong permanent resident preferred
