SINO-FOREST APPLIED RESEARCH CENTRE FOR PEARL RIVER DELTA ENVIRONMENT (SINO-FOREST ARCPE)

Sino-Forest ARCPE is an applied research centre in the University aiming at improving the environmental quality of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region with major research focuses in environmental and waste management. More details on research directions and engagements are available in our website http://arcpe.hkbu.edu.hk. The Centre is now seeking a suitable candidate to fill the following vacancy:

The appointee is expected to participate in research projects relating to bio-based conversions, microbial fermentation, bio-products, waste treatment and recycling, agricultural processing. Main duties will include experiment planning and design, conducting experiments, data analysis and interpretation, and writing publications arising out of research work.

Applicants should possess a Doctoral degreein environmental biotechnology, applied/industrial microbiology or agricultural science. Applicants should have a strong background and publication record in the above areas. Effective communication skills with good command of written and spoken English is required. Applicants with less qualifications and experience will be considered for the posts of Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. The appointee is expected to commence duty as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
