Description

The Senior Programmer/Developer’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Senior Programmer/Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. This individual will also provide mentoring, support and guidance to the Junior Programmer/Analyst’s role.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with the Programmer/Analyst and the designer in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications

• Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements

• Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling

• implementation

 Acquisition & Deployment

• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages

 • standards in support of procurement and development efforts

• resolution of any adaptation issues

• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades

 Operational Management

• Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems

• Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications

• Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging

• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas

Position Requirements Knowledge & Experience

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

• a minimum of 5 years of experience

• Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Expert ability to debug and diagnose problems in mobile environments

• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

• Experience designing and developing REST Applications or other integration of mobile with backend services

• Knowledge and experience with PHP, or Node.js or MS SQL or other backend web services technology/framework

• Knowledge and experience in open source technologies is a plus: Laraval, Magento, Cordova and React native
