IT Operation Support Officer (at the rank of IT Officer) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 493994) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably a Master’s degree, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in supporting IT Operation and vendor management for outsourced Help Desk and Network Operation Center.  They should be proficient in virtualization technology based on VMware, Linux OS, Network Management System, Cyber Detection and Resilience System, End Point Protection System, Microsoft Active Directory, Mobile Device Management System, and Identity Access Management System.  A good understanding of Hybrid Cloud deployment and IT Industry Best Practice (ISO/IEC 27001, ITILv3) is essential.  Working knowledge on Palo Alto firewall will be a definite advantage. Applicants should also be highly motivated with sound communication skills.

The appointee is expected to support the daily operation of the Faculty Data Center including backup operation, performance tuning, intrusion detection and prevention, as well as Deskside operation on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platform, in collaboration with assigned vendors.
