Main purpose of the role :
We have an exciting opportunity within our technology team to provide technical support and development opportunities on varies mid to back office application across the firm. Successful candidates with the required skills will work independently across multiple discipline to provide day to day batch monitoring and support, development expertise and delivery to schedule on varies platforms including settlement, reporting and risk systems.
The successful candidate will be required to provide technical support during and outside of local office hours, there is also a requirement to work as part of on-call (out of hours) as well as at weekends to facilitate planned work that cannot be completed during core business hours

Key responsibilities:

• Support BAU activities and batch monitoring
  Participate in the development, configuration and implementation  of varies finance technology applications
  Work closely with business user to perform system analysis and write up business requirements
  Conduct a full system implementation life cycle including functional and technical design specification to code development,  SIT and UAT

Skills and experience:

• Degree Holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  Minimum 5 years hands-on technical experience in Oracle Financial systems:
  Have some technical expertise with the e-business platform and be comfortable around interrogating the underlying Oracle RDBMS using SQL*Plus & PL/SQL, Linux/Unix Shell scripts
  Have extensive experience working with Oracle development toolset such as Workflow & XML Publisher
  Have extensive experience supporting the Oracle e-business suite in the Financials and Procure-to-Pay modules, preferably R12
  Work with end users gathering business requirements and translating them into systems documentation such as set-up guides(BR100), specifications (MD050) and test scripts (TE040)
  Experience in handling IT system incidents/log and change development and approval process would be advantage

Desirable

• Have experience working for a large financial institution, with experience in the settlement and financial process
  Have exposure with working on Financial System technology such as Financial Planning, Balance Sheet Attestation, Regulatory Reporting systems
  Have exposure to SOA, BPEL and the wider middleware Oracle technologies
  Have used batch scheduling software such as Autosys, Control-M, Tivoli
  Experience working in a similar role managing a large workloads
  DB Experience in RDBMS such as MS SQL
