My client, a tier 1 investment bank, is looking for an Equities Technology Business Analyst. This is a rare new opening, and the bank is part of traditional bulge bracket elite investment bank. This senior new opening will work on important new business and regulatory projects, and will provide excellent career path to individuals who are looking to advance their career as a Business Analyst for a tier 1 platform.

About the Team

You will be working with highly competent Program Manager in Hong Kong, and you will have direct access to senior decision makers within the bank from both business and also technology side. As a senior BA, you will work with work with other Project Managers to deliver important projects. The projects covered will include Single Stock, Portfolio, Delta 1, and Electronic Trading.

About the Job

As a Equities Technology Business Analyst you will work on key projects that have important business impact. Key responsibilities include:

• Project and stakeholder management - Work closely with stakeholders (business, compliance, Ops and technology partners at all levels) to define business objective, document requirements, track risks & issues and manage communications on project updates.
• Coordinate and perform detailed business analysis; develop functional/business and technical specifications
• Drives and participates in design, development and implementations
• Develop project plans, manage risks and escalation and ensure quality control throughout project life cycle
• Drive project governance best practices.
• Support and participate in operational risk discussion.
• Manage multiple conflicting business / technology priorities

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Sciences, IT, information systems or related discipline
• 5+ years of Project Management experience, either as a BA
• Working knowledge Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS projects, confluence, Jira
• Investment Banking experience, especially working for bulge bracket IB, is a big plus
• Fluency in English essential, fluency in Chinese a plus
