Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Data Analytics

  • Assist in guiding and managing a team of data scientists, collaborating with the business with aligning in setting focus, strategy and priorities for the teams work to maximize influence and impact in the organization

Customer Insights

  • Develop the fields of Customer Insights to help Lane Crawford grow such as customer transactional engagement, product offer personalization, customer lifetime value, customer churn and retention, etc
  • Ensure data and insights are actionable to drive decisions across all customer perspectives
  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders including the Director, VP and CxO levels

Data Modelling & Machine Learning

  • Develop models using statistics/machine learning techniques to drive iterative improvements or gain in-depth understanding and predict customer behaviour
  • Scale local or experimental insights into best practices, creating self-serve data tools to empower the rest of the company
  • Help in establishing data management and integration from across Lane Crawford’s data sources and leveraging available data as factors for analyses

Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams of experience strategists, designers, developers and others across the company, passionate about Lane Crawford’s success
  • Define the scope of Data science and insights to understand customer behaviours in collaboration with the User research team (customer motivations) and the Technology team (new and existing data capture, structure, availability and maintenance)

  • To build a personal connection with each team member, taking time to understand them individuals and identify ways to motivate, retain and engage them

Requirements:

  • Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analysis, database management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of web/app analytics tools, i.e. Google Analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Spreadsheets or similar, Google Data Studio, SQL is an advantage
  • Passion to work in the fashion retail industry
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • Strong organization skills, can handle multi-tasks and priorities
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
