One of our clients, a major bank is currently seeking a suitable IT professional to join their elite team.

• As the IT Project Manager, you will be managing the overall project including resources, timeline, delivery, quality, user expectation and project finance, where you are the Delivery Lead of the project.
• You would be accountable for the final project success.
• Liaising with business and IT teams to coordinate the delivery of projects

Job duties:

• Develop and manage Project Management Plan (including scopes, timeline, resources, costs, risk and issues, inter-dependencies, assumptions etc.)
• Work with the Technology team and Product Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies
• Manage, monitor and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and / or steering committees. Make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
• Enforce process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes, and continuous DevOps pipelines development.
• Help in the development and running of the programme management office or project management practice
• Manage project communication, change management and stakeholder engagement plans
• Partnering with stakeholders (external and internal) and vendors to create and launch tactical implementation plans

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in project management, preferably in Banking industry
• Good understanding of project methodology frameworks and best practice (e.g. PMP)
• With Scrum/Agile Methodology knowledge would be an advantage
• Good understanding of project lifecycle and Business Transformation Framework (BTF).
• Sound experience in project governance implementation, change management and vendor management
• Positive attitude, fast-learning, energetic, able to perform in challenging environment
• Willingness to be a challenger to the traditional way
• A good team player with analytical & problem-solving skills, self-motivation, positive attitude, fast-learning, energetic, able to perform in challenging environment and good interpersonal skills
• Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication, in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua
