Network Engineer – Hong Kong

Opus are currently representing an international quantitative trading firm who are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to work on a mix of large scale upgrade projects and maintenance work. Due to their expansion plans (60% growth in tech team) they are looking for experienced engineers to come on board.

This position offers exposure to the full production lifecycle - architecture, prototyping, implementation, monitoring and physical deployment of the network. You will work with network engineers and wider technical teams in international office.

Role Requirements:

-Ability to efficiently analyse and deconstruct technical problems.

-Solid foundation in computer science and networking principles.

-In depth understanding of common network protocols, best practices and the ability to apply these skills to design robust and performant networks.

-Beyond networking, technical strength in programming or system administration.

Desirable Skills:

-Linux System Administration.

-Firewalls and Security related products.

-Programming, and a willingness to learn new languages.

-Design work for trading floors.
