Responsibilities: 

• All quoting, placement and ongoing account maintenance for specified clients
• Assist in the preparation for and attend Client meetings &/or presentations as required by the company, within Hong Kong or anywhere overseas as necessary
• Ongoing development of new or existing relationships with clients and underwriters
• Continuing development of new business opportunities
• Maintenance of files, computer records and any other company records and systems
• Participation in, and contribution towards, the company business planning & budgeting process
• Any other responsibilities as may from time to time be determined by the company

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Maritime industry or over 3 years’ solid experience in insurance broking or underwriting
• Have experiences for cargo/shipping insurance and can handle accounts independently
• Holder of a recognized college diploma or above
• An excellent command of English (spoken, written & comprehension)
• A good command of Putonghua and Cantonese
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• The ability to think and react quickly in challenging situations and negotiations
• Meticulous in the detail and presentation of work
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, outgoing and friendly personality
• Holder of insurance related professional qualification, such as IIQE, CII, ANZIIF a plus
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate Broker
