Job Description

Renaissance Foundation has planned to run a new music talent nurturing program called Ear Up Tour – Mainland 2019” from Feb to Dec 2019.

The objectives of the project are below:

(i) Showcasing the vitality of Hong Kong music, and to promote HK’s original music brands among young people of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area music market  

(ii) Building up HK’s original music brand sin Greater Bay Area by promoting on Greater Bay Area’s social media, live streaming and digital music platforms

(iii) Building up cluster of music industries of Greater Bay Area, and create synergies by facilitating collaboration and exchanges among practitioners in the Greater Bay Area

Key project deliverables:

  • Select up to 12 local mentee music groups and 4 mentor music groups, up to 96 music talents
  • Matching up selected indie music talents as mentees with local famous music individuals or groups as mentors
  • Training selected talents
  • Sponsoring the pairing up of music groups to perform in tours to tertiary institutions and Live House venues in 4 major cities of Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Zhongshan
  • Expected to attract more than 12,000 audiences for the 10 tertiary institutions and Live House performances
  • Organizing experience sharing events to the industry and two finale public concerts in Hong Kong.
  • Estimated to reach over 12 million people through the project promotion campaign

 

Applications are invited for the below post:

 

Project Director (For around 11 months)

- Overall project management

- Project planning, high-level coordination

- Conducting project committee meeting

- Liaison with key stakeholders of project including government funding body, mentors and industry support bodies

Requirements:

- Degree in Communication/Music/Event Management or related fields

- Over 10 years in marketing/music/event organizing experiences with good management experiences and skills

- Experiences of project management of government-funded projects with good track record is preferable

- Besides project execution, the candidate should have the good industry knowledge and ability to lead and drive the development of this project

- Can effectively communicate with multi-stakeholders i.e. the government department which provides funding, key music industry supporters and program participants

- Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)

 

Please note the final offer of the positions will be pending on final government funding, and the offer may be a part-time mode depending on qualification, experiences and capabilities of candidates to deliver the project deliverables within the project timeline.
