The role:

The Project Expert in Hong Kong/Taipei is responsible for increasing the office’s revenue by answering volunteer prospects’ inquiries from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. It is also the job for this position to promote the organization by creating both online and offline marketing materials.

You will:

• Promote Projects Abroad at universities, schools and other events, both in-person and remotely
• Advise prospective volunteers on the best countries and projects to suit their interests
• Translate our website and print materials
• Ensure our websites are up to date, including web copy, pictures and videos
• Create content that will appeal to a wide target audience across multiple channels, including video, banner advertising and pictures
• Develop email newsletters
• Write press releases as well as brochures and other print materials
• SEO monitoring and improvement

You should:

• Currently live in or near Hong Kong or Taipei
• Have a three-year university degree, preferably in a field related to writing, marketing or digital media
• Be fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin – both spoken and written.
• Be an outstanding writer. Experience in online content creation would be preferable.
• Be creative, self-reliant and flexible. You should be prepared to work in a small office environment.
• Be interested in gaining experience in content creation and digital marketing
• Have good phone and interpersonal skills, knowledge of MS Office programs, and well-honed writing abilities
• Have an interest in international affairs is desirable
• Be legally eligible to work in Hong Kong

Contract

You will be employed on a permanent contract, subject to a three-month probationary period. An offer of employment is dependent upon receipt of satisfactory references and personal interview.
