About Our Client

Our client is a top tier bank listed in Hong Kong with retail and commercial banking in global markets. They are expanding their business and with the increasingly importance of the compliance functions in Banks, they are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join their Banking Team.

Job Description

• Report to Head of Regulatory Compliance on banking, Wealth management and Asset Management leading team of 4-8
• Advice business units on compliance and regulatory issues, including new activities and ad hoc requests including product distribution
• Develop, update, review and provide inputs on compliance policies and guidelines to match with regulatory changes
• Liaise with local regulators such as SFC, HKMA
• Act as second line of defence to conduct compliance assessments and reviews on key regulatory issues

The Successful Applicant

• University degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of banking compliance experience in on retail banking and wealth management services
• Familiar with banking systems and compliance standard rules from the HKMA, SFC, HKEx and other regulatory bodies.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
