Job Description
We are now hiring an Operation Assistant (8-month contract) in a stage venue (Kowloon District)
Responsibilities:
- To assist the officer-in-charge of the technical aspects of the stage, on stage set-up and seating arrangements
- To liaise with several contractors for scheduling of services required
- Assist in the events are staged in the venue, to perform duties under stage lighting and sounds
- To advise, supervise and organise the operation services contractors and part-time staff
- To supervise and organize the use of various storerooms in the venue, monitor inventory items, oversee storekeeping and proper maintenance and safe working environment.
- Assist in the procurement of stage equipment and services
- To perform overnight shifts duties, emergency and ad hoc duties assigned by senior officers
Requirements
- Degree holder or equivalent from any disciplines with at least 2 years’ working experience
- At least 1 year’s working experience in venue/ performance/ event management in cultural organizations or performing arts venues;
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing;
- Mature, self-disciplined and customer-oriented with good interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills
