Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, SKILLS

Showroom assistant is an entry-level administrative position for those with an interest in the fashion industry.  Working closely with account assistant, account coordinators and account managers; the showroom assistant’s key responsibilities are to ensure smooth execution of daily sample and product delivery and provide administrative support to the account servicing team.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in public relations or communications (although other educational background will also be considered). The candidate should have strong communication, research and organization skills, be willing to adjust to a variety of client temperaments and personalities and be willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time. The showroom assistant should have a can-do attitude and be a team player. More experienced candidates could also be considered as Showroom Coordinator.

 Assist and working closely with the Account Assistant, Coordinator and Manager: 

  • Showroom organization and management
  • Sample and storage inventory management
  • Extensive sample trafficking (organizing sample returns and send outs)
  • Updating contact database
  • Media library organization and management
  • Conducting and completing market and industry research
  • Prepare agendas and media updates for client calls
  • Compile and distribute regular editorial  reports on each clients
  • Responsible for maintaining and creating editorial clipping books for each client
  • Assist on clients’ or in-house events or press days
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as manage Press and Clients as needed, internal reports and filings etc.

  

KEY ATTRIBUTES 

  • Minimum of 6 month - 1 year experience in Fashion Industry
  • Form 7 or diploma in Fashion, PR or other relevant studies
  • The candidate should have strong communication skills (both written and oral), in both Cantonese and English
  • Good research and organization skills
  • Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Accomplishes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and with a keen eye for detail both with quantitative and qualitative data
  • Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be efficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, Fashion GPS
