The incumbent will assist in developing the Divisional Youth ministries in The Salvation Army.

Duties:

• Provide one-stop service in developing children and youth ministries, programmes and activities, including sourcing information, planning, coordinating, promoting and implementation. Enhance the growth of youth community.
• Prepare programmes documents such as proposals, budgets and reports.
• Assist in providing training to potential youth leaders.
• Develop and manage multimedia platform on youth affairs
• Assist in the preparation of annual departmental budget, ensure expenditures are within budget and smooth cash-flow within the department.
• Assist in establishing, reviewing and updating policies, guidelines and procedures of the department.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, statistics, and analysis as and when required.

Requirements:

• An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Degree in Theology or Biblical Studies.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in Youth Ministry. Experience working in Christian ministry or service as lay Christian leader is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Skills in web design and graphic design software e.g. PhotoShop, Illustrator and movie maker would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
• A team player with proactive attitude, self-motivated, independent and committed to serve the youth.
• Overtime and occasional work on weekends and holidays as and when required. 

Terms of Appointment

Appointment will be on renewable contract terms for an initial period of 1 year.
