Job Posting Details

The Office of Undergraduate Programs of HKUST Business School serves as a central office in undergraduate student admission, academic affairs & advising, and student development & career services. The Office is looking for a capable, well-organized, people-oriented and self-motivated team member to perform a wide spectrum of administrative duties to sustain the operations of the Office on student advising and academic affairs.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Academic Affairs & Advising Team, the appointee will act as an advisor to undergraduate students, addressing their enquiries and needs in relation to their studies and giving proper advice and help. The appointee will support various events for new students such as video production and orientation logistics in addition to coordinating activities hosted under the Karen Lee Student Mentoring Center.  The appointee will also compile and analyze various statistical data for planning and reporting purposes.  Other duties include academic program administration, processing credit transfer requests, website updates as well as other tasks or duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a good honors Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years' post-qualification work experience. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua is an advantage), and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.  They should be mature, creative and energetic with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  They should also be able to perform multiple tasks under defined timeline, and work independently and as a team.  Working outside normal office hours is required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
