Role and Responsibilities

• Sourcing, identifying and managing venture investment opportunities in the high tech sector

• Identifying early stage investment opportunities in targeted strategic sectors

• Conduct research and idea generation of investment opportunities in the focused areas

• Deal execution encompassing conducting due diligence such as business analysis and modeling on target investment opportunities, legal documentation and investment package preparation.

• Monitoring, and help value adding to both investee and Sumitomo’s businesses through synergistic activities.

• Active portfolio management including regular performance report and asset management review.

• Co-ordinate management meeting and company visit;

• Other quantitative/industry analysis that the business require from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering / Accounting, preferably holding MBA or/and CPA

• Minimum 3-5 years’in business development, financial or audit field and not necessarily working for VCs and Investment Banks who is seeking for venture capitalist as a career development

   

Skills & Abilities

• strong business and entrepreneurial acumen, analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with good interpersonal and presentational skills

• A good team player who innovates and looks for new solutions to existing problems; is able to work with others and create synergy by working with others

• Good market analytical skill (Preferably experienced in the high tech industry)

• Capable to plan and prioritize tasks and making sounds judgments independently

• Fluent in English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus
