Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Promote equal learning opportunity
  • Promote basic computer science, logical thinking and problem-solving skill
  • Run independently STEM / Coding workshop for students from primary to junior high schools

Academic, Technical, and Communication requirement:

  • Passionate and have experience in teaching kids
  • Major in Computer Science (minimum Year 2 in Bachelor Degree, preferably Master Degree student)
  • Certified facilitator to Run a Code Club and related subjects (https://www.futurelearn.com/partners/raspberry-pi)
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Raspberry Pi and related hardware (Raspberry 3 Model B+) and software (Raspbian, Libre Office, Chrome…)
  • Good knowledge of STEM/Coding material/programming languages (e.g. Scratch, Python…) and teaching tools: Raspberry Pi Projects (https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en) and Trinket (https://trinket.io)
  • Good command in both spoken and written Chinese and English

Partnering with schools, NGOs, community centres and corporate business partners to promote computer literacy and equal opportunity to learn to children from lower-income families by packaging and distribution of Raspberry Pi based micro-computer and customized version of the Raspbian software under our Qi Computer brand, and offering STEM / coding workshop to targeted students from primary to junior high schools.

Utilize financially accessible computer hardware coupled with the interconnected modular content providing customized training events delivered by educators and Project Curiosity volunteers.
