Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing the sample approval process from prototype to production.
  • Manage size set fit approvals on live model and body form fittings in-house and issue technical comments to head office and suppliers.
  • Approve Pre-production samples for production including in-house wash tests in a timely manner.
  • Check and approve 1st bulk lot fabrics and accessories according to head quarter requirements.
  • Review rejected garments from QC final inspection and make decisions on acceptable quality level regarding workmanship, sizing and color.
  • Work closely with head quarter quality team to build standard MMCs and develop block pattern for key designs.
  • Train and educate Junior QM Engineers and factories to avoid repeated fit problems resulting in reduced fit rejections.
  • Develop and maintain pattern library in team work with head office.
  • Travel to main factories to ensure full understanding of quality and fit requirement Tchibo by direct training and close communication on production floor level.

Requirements

  • Diploma or above in related disciplines (e.g. Textile, Apparel and Quality Management etc)
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience with experience gained in garment factory General Garment (Ladies & Kids) highly preferable
  • Live Model Fitting experience is a MUST
  • Solid knowledge in sewing processing, finishing process (dyeing/coating/finishing), pattern making, garment fitting and production processing (knit/woven)
  • Familiar with European markets and International Quality Standard such as AQL
  • Open minded, flexible and good team player who is willing to take extra workload in case of need
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office and Outlook)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua & Cantonese)
