Summary:

The mission consists in the development of automatic tools to perform radio frequency and digital tests. The purpose of the tools is to analyze the effect of reliability environmental stress on new products (DUT) designed to operate on wireless cellular networks (2G, 3G and LTE). DUT will be tested before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the reliability stresses applied to confirm if the DUT characteristics have been impacted by the stresses. Environmental stresses are typically thermal, humidity and mechanical exposures reproduced in laboratory environment to predict the product robustness and life span.

The tools are composed of various measuring equipment (power supply, radio communication tester…) controlled by a computer. The mission is to set-up the system, develop or update the test program running on PC (test script menu selection, automatic test sequence and generation of test reports), validate and install the system in the reliability laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study the test specification
• Set-up the test system, develop or adapt the test program
• Validate the test system in terms of repeat-ability and accuracy
• Install the test system in the reliability laboratory
• Perform pre-test and post-test for different products (DUT)
• Provide the test reports and conclude on the test results
  

 Key Skills Required:

• University students who have completed pre-final year of study in electronics/computer science disciplines
• With programing skills: National Instrument software knowledge. Lab Windows CVI, GPIB/VISA interface programing. Software C and C++ programing
• Knowledge in test equipment programing using GPIB, VISA, RS232, I/O acquisition cards
• Knowledge in notion of electronics measuring equipment for radio frequency and digital tests
• Telecommunication knowledge (GSM/CDMA/UMTS/LTE) is preferred
