Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for schematic and layout design of high-voltage ICs, power management ICs in consumer and industrial markets
  • Innovate new circuits and topologies for various consumer and industrial applications
  • Work closely with application engineers to develop product specifications
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Product team, Application team, Testing team and Packaging team) to achieve highly-integrated designs
  • Perform internal design review, test mode review, layout review and ESD review
  • Perform PCB test boards review with product engineers
  • Characterize and evaluate chips at both wafer level and package level. Prepare silicon report.
  • Debug, microprobe and perform failure analysis to find out the root causes of any chip malfunction and failure
  • Develop test plans for ATE with test engineers
  • Oversee the development of IC from its initial stages until release to production

 Job Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 0-3 years of working experience in the circuit design for Master’s degree holder or PhD holder in related area. Fresh graduate is also welcome.
  • Bi-CMOS design and layout experience. Experience with bipolar is a plus.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work closely with applications and test engineers in the development of ATE test systems and IC performance verification.
  • Experience with design tools, spice simulators, mixed-signal simulators, layout tools, parasitic extraction tools, and logic simulators. Proficiency in EDA tools like Calibre, HSPICE, etc.
  • Experience with Verilog and VHDL is a plus.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of device physics.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of device modeling.
  • Must be hands on with regards to IC characterization in the lab and be familiar with scopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and the other standard lab equipment.
  • Good written and communication skills in English.
  • Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills, independent and responsible.
