Be the go-to person for Desktop Support in a friendly environment

As we continue to grow, there is more demand on the IT Engineering Department to support the needs of our internal users and maintain IT resources. This demand has created an opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician to join our Internal IT team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide level 1 and 2 support to our global workforce. Your duties will be to:

1. Install or replace equipment such as workstations, laptops and printers.

2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related issues

3. Assist in the maintenance of our Access Control Systems

4. Triaging and resolving support tickets or escalating to other teams

5. Help enforce IT policy. Detect violations and correct.

6. Coordinate with contractors for specific projects, including dealing with our ISPs.

7. Help test disaster recovery processes.

8. Help run capacity tests.

9. Maintain inventory of hardware and software

We’ll measure your success along these KPIs:

1. Employee productivity. Ensure the team can work efficiently and reliably. Their IT environment meets their needs both in terms of functionality as well as speed.

2. Employee uptime. No downtime due to IT failures.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years experience in:

1. hardware, software and network troubleshooting

2. installing and troubleshooting peripherals

2. Good understanding of IT security best practices

3. Basic MacOS and Linux skills

4. Good spoken and written English

5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

6. Well organized

Bonus for experience with

1. AWS

2. G-Suite

3. Mobile Device Management

4. VMware administration
