Job Details:

We are expanding our in-house travel app, Travelbums and looking for a great full-stack JavaScript developer who is proficient with React Native and Node.js. You will be working in a leadership role, your job as a Founding Engineer will require you to mentor, motivate and lead your team throughout.

Job Responsbilities:

• Developing user interface components according to provided design
• Implementing components following well-known React and Redux middleware (such as Redux and Redux Saga)
• Adding new features to our Keystone.js (our backend API)
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across different version of  OS (IOS 10-12 and Android 4 or above)
• Maintaining Git
• Deploying code to staging/production (AWS cloud)

Job Requirement:

• Obtained a BS, MS in Computer Science or related major from universities in Hong Kong with a strong record of academic achievement
• Experience working with React, React Native, and Node.js
• Experience working with Mongo DB
• Real-world project experience with building applications
• Experience integrating 3rd party and open source components
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Knowledge of software engineering processes, tools, methods, test development, support and data structure
• Familiarity with native code development(Objective-C and Java) is a bonus
• Familiarity with Typescript is a bonus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
